  The Darkness II is a first-person shooter psychological thriller video game developed by Digital Extremes and published by 2K Games. The game is the sequel to 2007's The Darkness. The script for the game was written by comic book writer Paul Jenkins, who previously worked on The Darkness comic series. Originally scheduled to be released on July 10, 2011 and then on October 4, 2011, it was delayed for both dates and instead was released February 7, 2012 in North America, February 10, 2012 in Europe and Australia and February 23, 2012 in Japan. for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
